Fox is planning a a remake of hit BBC crime drama Luther, possibly without Idris Elba. Not funny of you followed the original and loved it, Idris brought epicness to the show, plus who will the ladies drool over? Y’all should quit these games, we want Idris!
Deadline is reporting that the network has ordered a pilot episode, to be written and executive produced by Neil Cross, who was also behind the original BBC series. Luther star/general badass Idris Elba will also serve as an executive producer, although it’s being speculated that he will not also be starring in the American adaptation.
No word on a timeline yet, but you could just, you know, fire up your Netflix instead and watch the BBC original again.
